22/02/2007 - The Postal Services Department, Ministry of Communications, Brunei Darussalam will launch new definitive stamps today at the foyer of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Complex.
The 24mm x 33mm stamps are valued at 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 60, 75 and 90 cents, while the bigger 27mm x 40.6mm stamps are valued at $1, $2, $5 and $10. The public can purchase the stamps during the launching.
The stamps will be available in 12 colours, ranging from different shades of yellow, green, blue, purple and orange symbolising the colours of the country's cheterias. The official first day covers with a printed picture of The Royal Family Order of the Crown of Brunei Darussalam, valued at 45 cents each was designed by Pg Hj Mohd Yamin PSJ Pg Hj Abdul Momin, a government officer from the Brunei Museum. |
